Aus tieffer Noth schrey ich zu dir
Herr Gott! erhör mein Ruffen
dein gnädig Ohr neig her zu mir
under meiner Bitt sie öfne
denn so du wilt das sehen an
was Sünd und Unrecht ist gethan
wer kan Herr für dir bleiben.
English
In deep distress I cry to you,
Lord God, hear my calling.
Bow down your merciful ear to me
and open it to my plea.
For it is your will to see
what sin and wrong has been done.
Who can, Lord, remain before you?
