der uns geschenckt hat seinen Sohn/
und ihn gesand auf diese Erdn/
daß wir durch ihn sein Kinder werd[e]n/

Praised be God in the throne of heaven
who has gifted us his son
and sent him to this earth
that through him we become his children.
