Was Gott thut/ das ist wohlgethan/
es bleibt gerecht sein Wille/
wie er fängt meine Sachen an/
wil ich ihm halten stille/
er ist mein Gott/ der in der Noth
mich wohl weiß zu erhalten/
drum laß ich ihn nur walten.
English
What God does is well done,
his will remains just;
as he takes up my cause,
I want to hold fast to him.
He is my God, who in distress
well knows how to uphold me;
therefore I let only him rule over me.
