Wenn wir in höchsten Nöthen seyn/
und wissen nicht/ wo aus noch ein/
und finden weder Hülf noch Rath/
ob wir gleich sorgen früh und spat.

When we are in utmost need
and know not where to turn
and find neither hope nor counsel
though we fret from morning till night.
