Text known to Bach (Weimar 1713):

Warum betrübst du dich/ mein Hertz/
bekümmerst dich und trägest Schmertz
nur um das zeitlich Gut/
vertrau du deinem Herrn und Gott/
der alle Ding erschaffen hat.

distressed and enduring sorrow
merely about worldy goods?
Put your trust in your Lord and God,
who has created all things.
