Da Jesus an dem Creutze stund/
und ihm sein Leichnam ward verwund/
so gar mit bittern Schmertzen/
die sieben Wort die Jesus sprach/
betracht in deinem Hertzen.
English
When Jesus hung upon the cross
and his body was wounded
with so much bitter pain,
the seven words that Jesus spoke
contemplate in your heart.
